About this Talk

This talk will introduce trauma and violence informed care (TVIC) principles to speech-language pathologists, and share how these principles can be applied to SLP practice across various populations and settings. We will share principles of TVIC, apply them to key topics in SLP practice (i.e., social determinants of health and service access, behaviour management, and social communication support), and discuss practical applications of TVIC principles in SLP practice.
