Toothbrushing can be a very challenging task for anyone of any age. For those individuals who also have special needs, the concerns become overwhelming for both the caregiver and the individual. In this presentation, participants will learn the barriers to toothbrushing, what is the currently recommended best practice for toothbrushing and a sensory motor approach to help toothbrushing become an everyday accepted activity for those with sensory motor concerns.
