About this Talk

So often we assume that spasticity is the primary barrier for children with cerebral palsy. However, sometimes alignment problems or strength deficits, can increase a child's spasticity and lead to compensatory movement patterns. In this talk, we will look at an example of a child with quadriplegic cerebral palsy who had limited sitting skills due to his apparent leg spasticity and how focussing on alignment changed his ability to develop this functional skills.
