Pediatric Adaptive Standing and the Research: Evidence for Implementation
A Talk by Lori Potts PT (Product & Training Specialist, Rifton)
About this Talk
This pre-recorded 25-minute presentation discusses the current evidence for pediatric adapted standing. An introduction to postural management provides a review of published literature on standing interventions to decrease secondary complications in cerebral palsy. A further discussion of the benefits of trunk control and light physical activity for developing children will emphasize standing positioning opportunities to positively impact life-long health. Pictures of adaptive standing devices will be incorporated throughout to provide positioning concepts for age-appropriate standing intervention as the implementation of the evidence.
