About this Talk
Dr. J-C Guimberteau has changed our concept of anatomy. During his work as a reconstructive hand surgeon, with his experience with tendon reconstruction on adults and children, he became extremely interested in the sliding mechanisms. This was not something he had been taught at the university. He started filming his patients and used the microscope and endoscope to stroll under the skin, look deeper at muscles and bones in rest and during movement, and discover that our bodies do not only consist of cells. He shows us that our bodies also consists of a fibrillar network which is found everywhere, and includes cell free spaces. His work will be presented in short and he has been kind enough to answer the questions posed.
