“Comprehensive Approach in Brachial Plexus Birth Injury Management”

Brachial Plexus Birth Injury is very Complex injury and requires multidisciplinary / comprehensive approach. It’s difficult for Parents with BPBI to go and consult for Pediatrician, Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon, Plastic Surgeon, and physiotherapist as well Occupational Therapist. In the beginning its trauma for parent lots of anxiety and fear. So to prevent and give comfort and under one roof solution to baby, parent and family we have running Comprehensive Brachial Plexus Clinic, Ahmedabad since 2009. So far we have registered more than 1000 case of BPBI. In my talk I am going to share about how would we are going to assess the child, which includes different evidence-based assessment format which are commonly and easily practice in your daily clinical practice, very brief about surgical management. In the end would share comprehensive therapeutic management approach and its benefit to bring out best outcome from existing injury.
