Esther de Ru

Esther de Ru has been a physiotherapist since 1977. Currently semi-retired she is still active studying, mentoring and teaching. She has worked in four European countries as orthopaedic manual therapist, paediatric physiotherapist and scoliosis therapist.

Esther also certified in: Early Intervention, NeuroDevelopmental Therapy- Bobath, Vojta, PNF, Sensory Motor Therapy, Motor Remedial Teaching, Sports, Pain and Taping. As a former dental nurse, she has always been interested in the orofacial region and she specialized in the Pre-speech Orofacial therapy NDT-Mueller and TMJ/Jaw Therapy at the time.

Esther worked as an instructor of the Posture and Movement Therapy (adapted from Bugnet) Method in the Netherlands in the 80’s.

Esther was appointed Chair of the Committee Practice of the International Organization of Physiotherapists in Paediatrics from 2011-2015.

Developer & instructor post graduate Scoliosis Therapy course in Spain, Egypt, Turkey. Developed paediatric physiotherapy course in Spain in 2010 and in India 2019.  Developer & instructor Elastic Therapeutic Taping courses for paediatric therapists, speech therapists and spine & scoliosis therapist in Egypt, Estonia & the Netherlands

She has published many a Clinical Note about her clinical experience with various disorders and treatment modalities. She has presented on these topics at various international Conferences.
