Based in Auckland, New Zealand, Amy Hogan has 20 years of experience in national disability research projects as a researcher, analyst, writer, and advocate. Her focus is on health and social justice, with a strong commitment to translating personal and professional insights into impactful international discourse.
Living with cerebral palsy (CP), Amy integrates her lived experience into her work with the Cerebral Palsy Society of New Zealand, where she leads research, policy advocacy, and system change initiatives. She holds a Master’s (MSc First Class Honours Psychology), with a thesis exploring the language construction of treatments and cures for chronic conditions.
Amy is a seasoned lecturer, panellist, and keynote speaker, addressing diverse audiences including government ministers, senior international academics, policy advisers, community groups, students, and multidisciplinary professionals. She continues to engage with critical health and disability studies, striving to elevate the voices and experiences of individuals with disabilities on a global scale.
